About Flinders Aboriginal Health Research (FAHR)

Working together to improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people through research

Flinders Aboriginal Health Research brings together a large multidisciplinary network of Flinders University researchers and their colleagues who are committed to improving Aboriginal health and wellbeing through research. Their work spans the health and social sciences and humanities, in keeping with holistic Aboriginal understandings of health.

The Flinders Aboriginal Health Research Unit (FAHRU) has been established to coordinate, conduct, support and grow Aboriginal health research across all Flinders University campuses, enhance partnerships and links with Aboriginal people and other stakeholders. This will enable Flinders to build on current research and networks, compete successfully for large collaborative program funds, and transfer research findings into practice.
